My name is John Ruttan. For more than 45 years, I have played an active role in the community of Nanaimo . Throughout both my personal and professional life I have embraced the ideals of family values, healthy living, good governance, and giving back to my community.
As a city, we are at a crossroads. Over the last 15 years times have changed and our city has grown, but our leadership has remained the same. In the healthy evolution of a community, there comes a time and place to inject a new perspective into how things are run at City Hall. It's time for a new leader. One who is accountable to ALL citizens of Nanaimo and one who can lead by example to help create a healthy, prosperous community. As Mayor, I want to be that positive change you're looking for.
